Transfer SPG/Marriott points to airline

Transfer SPG/Marriott points to airline

I am wondering if it is possible to transfer some of my SPG/Marriott points account to a Miles&More account of my daughter?

with the new M&M pooling option it much simpler to make use of miles in account with just “some” points but not much growth.

    any help is appreciated

Welcome @rpitton – since you can pool M&M points, wouldn’t it be just as easy to transfer them to your own M&M account and then pool them from there?

I am pooling my account with my wife plus we have a seperate pool for my adult dauthers. For the latter I would like to top up some points to use them for an upgrade. My Idea is to transfer from my SPG account to one of my dauthers M&M account.

The SPG T&C only talks about converting points to miles for the same member. however, the term member is not clearly defined.

Does M&M limit the pooling such that you can’t all be in the same pool? I’m not familiar with how that works and what the advantages are to the separate pools.

unfortunately M&M pooling is limited to 2 adults and the kids under 18 years. So we are pooling the account of me and my wife and seperatly of my both adult daughters.

we are deviating from the original question. Can I transfer spg point from my account to a M&M account of my daughters… anyone

No. You can transfer points to her Marriott account (up to 50,000 points per year, technically, and there is a fee if you’re not an elite), and then she can transfer them to her M&M account.
