So I see TAP availability for five in biz from ORD to LIS on the exact day I want to fly (obviously a dream). Unfort my main two currencies are united points and lifemiles (who both dont show the availability). I also have a ton of thankyou and chase points…. Any where else I can go to book?

Also, the flights are like $500 return in economy just to buy. For a short flight should i just bite the bullet and fly econ?

Where are you seeing the availability? If it’s on the TAP site it might not be available to partners. How many points would it take to book through the TY or UR portal and earn points for the flight?

And for the return, it’s a daytime flight and, as you point out, relatively short for a TATL flight but it’s still 9 hours. If the five of you can all sit together maybe that’s not too bad but only you can make that call.

Thanks mid south! I see it on expert flyer and aeroplan. But I don’t have Amex points.

May do biz out for red eye.

True re length of flight! I’m from Australia so consider 8hrs there “short” 🙂
