So thanks to Lucky, I was able to status match last year to avianca amigo to try out star alliance gold (came from Flying Blue Platinum Elite for Life). However, that status is finishing off in March, and I was wondering if anyone knows of some other status matches going on, where they would allow a non alliance member to match. I tried Air Canada (I live in Toronto now) however they replied that they only accept status matches from other star alliance carriers. So any ideas? Preferably to star and oneworld if possible.
Alaska is typically pretty generous with status matches. I matched UA Silver to Alaska MVP.

Thanks for the idea. However Alaska isn’t in any major alliance, and that’s what I’m looking for. To have gold or elite status in either star or oneworld to at least have priority and lounges while travelling with Air Canada or other non skyteam airlines.
