Retaining United Premier Plat for 2017

Retaining United Premier Plat for 2017

  1. Anonymous Guest

I am looking for all options to retain United Premier Platinum for 2017. I will make both 75K PQMs and 90 PQS for 2016, however, I am going to fall about $350 short of making the $9K PQD spend. Any advice from those who have had similar issue. Is United hard/fast on making all of the PQD requirement? Can they bump you over if you are close? Are there any Mileage Plus CCs that waive the PQD requirement that are still available? Thanks!

    PQD run?

If you have a United card, PQD is waived (up to Premier Platinum, not 1K) provided you spend like $25k on the card (all purchases, not limited to United) Otherwise, find a cheap round trip ticket on UA like @Gaurav suggests

I guess that you could try to buy a more expensive ticket i.e. in F if another trip comes up

What if you bought some miles on one of your tickets? I assume that would count. The price per miles, not pqm, but award miles is typically around 2cents so you’d pick up 7,000 miles.
