Question regarding the blog on not choosing airline on safety rating

Question regarding the blog on not choosing airline on safety rating

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hello Lucky and fellow readers and/or bloggers,

I am flying out from Amsterdam to Beijing next june due to a wedding of friends (yaay!) but I am EXTREMELY anxious of flying and it will be a multiple flight trip… Hurray….I DO fly however but always look into which airline so I know its trustworthy. While searching for a flight it appears I have two options. Either Etihad or Emirates. I didn’t really know either of them well so I started googling which would be best. I came across the blog on this page where Lucky explains he doesn’t choose airline based on safety record. In that blog it is stated that a friend works with both of the above airlines and finds one very precise and good at maintenance and the other very sloppy so refuses to fly the other one. Since I am terrified already and those two are my options (and safety is my nr 1 priority) I am dying to know which is which so I can book my flight with an eased heart. Can either you, Lucky or on of your collegues, or anyone here who knows from own experience, tell me which of the airlines is the sloppy one so that I (for my own piece of mind) can avoid that one? Thank you so much in advance.. it will safe me from almost a year of worrying :p

    Thanks
