My wife has the SPG Business card, which we just renewed a few months ago (got 10k SPG pts for redemption). With the changes coming to the program in a couple months, wondering how the SPG card and or Marriott card will fit in our plans. Last year we put 30k on the card so have Gold status, but rarely stay in hotels (mostly accumulating for air miles).

So, I’m thinking of getting the Marriott card as I know we can use the free night each year, but also the 100k in points. Big wonder I’m having is I don’t see a reason why we’d keep both the SPG Business card and this, as the seem redundant. Just wanted to see what others had thoughts on this topic. With the reduction in value of SPG points coming, not sure I’d be putting a ton of spend on the card moving forward either?? Thanks!
