Pilot rest

Pilot rest

  1. Anonymous Guest

I just got back flying Philippine Airlines to Manila. From the US I was surprised that business class was full but it seemed as if many were PAL employees. On the return trip to New York it was the same but now I realized that it was the crew for the next flight as this is a turnaround flight that only operates once per week. Is it legal that the pilots operate the next flight after a 16 hour flight even if they were “resting” in business class? I know I was super tired after my flight as a passenger so I’m not sure I would want these pilots flying my plane.
