Park Hyatt Tokyo

Park Hyatt Tokyo

  1. Anonymous Guest

Recently when I stayed at the Park Hyatt Tokyo they offered me a room upgrade for a fee but not complimentary despite my platinum status. They said their property doesn’t do that. Has anyone else had this problem? I thought Hyatt perks were the same for all properties.

Curious, Hyatt does not promise room upgrades for Platinum members (which is a pretty basic status), only a “preferred room” based on availability.

Yep, that’s correct — you are eligible for the best room available in the category you booked (which might mean a slightly more compelling view, not by the elevator, etc.), but room upgrades aren’t a benefit for Platinums.
