Mileage Plan Name

Mileage Plan Name

Hi, I know it may sound stupid, but when I was signing up for Alaska Mileage Plan a while ago, I accidentally entered the wrong name (autofill is useful, but it really screwed me over this time) and I know other FFPs have ways of changing your name, but I can’t seem to find a place to change my name for Mileage Plan, if there even is a way. By the way, my first and last name are correct, but there was something entered for my middle name which is not on my passport. Once again, it may sound like a dumb problem but I really don’t know what to do about it, and would really appreciate it if anyone has a solution for this.

    Thanks in advance!

I’d try reaching out to Alaska on Twitter and ask them where you should direct your query.

Way back in the day I used to book everything under my “called by” first name vs. my legal first name. After 9/11, when we had to ensure the name on the ticket matched the name on the ID, I seem to remember having to mail in photocopies of my driver’s license and maybe something else so I could get the name on my FF accounts changed. Of course today you could probably scan & email everything needed.

There has to be a simple way to make these changes given that women get married and divorced (most often) resulting in name changes. I’d phone customer support and explain the situation. I’ve had similar glitches with my KTN and got them resolved through phoning.
