I’ve booked Lufthansa award flights to Europe for years – business (and sometimes first), with never a problem – esp. out of Chicago. For the last week or two, the Miles and More website literally always says, “There are no available flight awards for the dates you have selected.” Today, I even went so far as to just randomly put in dates (week out, weeks out, months out) and ‘economy class’ and I still get that message – so their must be a problem with their system, I’ve never seen anything like this before since they started their online system. Have you heard, is their website having problems? Are they changing the way they allow award flights and have just stopped allowing it online for the time being?

Have you checked LH availability for the next 2 weeks via Aeroplan, LifeMiles, United and ANA? If they show space and LH isnt, it’s probably a glitch. If theyre ALL not showing any space, it might be a bigger issue.

You can also call LH regardless and see if agents can find any availability.

I think someone else wrote recently about not being able to see any LH space. Have you tried calling?

Trent, I can sympathize. I’m about to leave on a trip in which my return flight is on LH to ORD. I grabbed an award business class seat months in advance with the hopes of upgrading so I could visit the FCT. Today I’m 2 weeks out and have seen no F space on my route. I considered other routings and have noticed that on the FRA-IAH route there are no premium seats available on Mondays though there are other days with 1 or 2 seats. I’ve given up on my dream of visiting the FCT on this trip as I won’t have time to call LH while I’m away. It’s certainly been frustrating.
