LAX & Priority Pass Question

LAX & Priority Pass Question

  1. Steve from LA Member

I am flying out of LAX Friday afternoon (Alaska domestic) and have two questions I am hoping someone can answer:

    1) I am flying out of terminal 6, but would like to visit P.F. Chang’s before my flight. I wouldn’t mind visiting the Alaska lounge, but figure the dreaded sign will be out on a Friday afternoon. Anyway instead of clearing security at terminal 6 and then taking the tunnels to Tom Bradley, can I clear security at Tom Bradley in the first instance? I and my travel companion will not be checking any luggage and prefer to make the tunnel walk only once.

    2) My travel companion and I have separate priority pass memberships which allow us to bring in a free guest. My understanding is that I get $30 off the P.F. Chang bill for myself and $30 off the bill for any guest when I use my priority pass. The same applies for my companion. It seems highly unlikely, but is it possible for her to be my guest and for me to be her guest at P.F. Chang? It would be nice to have a $60 credit for drinks and appetizers. Then have another $60 credit for main course. As you might suspect, $60 doesn’t go that far in the LAX P.F. Chang.

As always, your wisdom is greatly appreciated.

1 – Yes, you can clear at TBIT, though depending on the hour, lines might be long, even if you have TSA Pre-Check. There is a “hidden” TSA PreCheck security line that’s usually not as busy though, and I think it’s a level down from the main security check point. I’ve never used it before.

2 – Kind of tricky. Worth asking, though you may be denied. However, theoretically you should be able to go in, present your card for you and guest and have drinks and apps, and close the tab. Go for a walk and then come back to get another table and have your guest present their card for the mains.

Thanks David. I thought about the close out the tab and walk back in approach, but it just seems kind of wrong…..

Yes but the terms state 1 card per cardholder per visit is accepted, so leaving and coming back would be considered a second visit.
