LATAM Exit and earning AA EQDs and EQMs

LATAM Exit and earning AA EQDs and EQMs

  1. Anonymous Guest

I purchased a round trip business class ticket in December of 2019 from FOR – MIA on LATAM. At that time they were telling everyone that they (LATAM) were exiting One World in September 2020. I booked my return for May 4, 2020 on that basis. Now they have decided to exit on April 30, 2020. I am being told that I won’t earn EQDs and EQMs for my return flight on May 4, 2020 because it is after the April 30, 2020 exit. American Airlines said they can’t even address the issue since the ticket was purchased with LATAM and is not a codeshare – it is only LATAM’s call. I have gotten nowhere with LATAM (dumb as dirt) – honestly I don’t think they even understand the issue. Do you have any idea what I might do?
