    I know that I’m gonna sound stupid for many because this question but I really don’t know if I’m travelling from the Americas to an EU country vía IST, would I need to go through customs in IST or in Denmark? Don’t really know if my connection is international to international

    Turkey is not part of Schengen, so you will clear customs in Denmark

    You will definitely clear immigration once arriving in Denmark.

    I believe you can stay airside at Istanbul, therefore not needing to clear immigration or customs while passing through Istanbul. Double check on this though, I don’t know the procedures at the new airport.
