Interline baggage from CX to UL on separate tickets

Interline baggage from CX to UL on separate tickets

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hi Lucky, I have an award ticket booked DFW-NRT-HKG(JAL) and then HKG-CMB (on CX). Then I booked a separate ticket on SriLankan CMB-MLE. Do you think CX will interline my baggage to MLE? It will be a huge inconvenience if they don’t because we then need to get transit visa and also take bags out and recheck in. It’s midnight time when we land in Colombo.I saw that it’s possible if all on one world ticket on AA policy but not certain about CX. Thanks!

Hi Lucky. I have an award ticket issued by AA DFW-NRT-HKG(on JL) and then HKG-CMB (on CX). Then I am on a paid ticket on Srilankan CMB-MLE. Would CX allow me to interline check bag through to MLE. If not, it’s huge inconvenience for us because we need to get transit visa and also it’s midnight time when we land. I saw that AA can do this if all tickets are on one world. How about CX? Thanks.

Theoretically possible, but will depend on the agent checking you in, realistically.
