Hyatt Regency Sarasota, or where

Lucky,
DW and I are getting our second shot in two weeks. Then heading to Florida. Spending a week at the W Miami Beach, on Points. Then going to Bradenton or Sarasota to visit some friends. We don’t want to stay with them.
The Hyatt Regency Sarasota drew my attention. I am Globalist with lots of points. I’m not shooting for “W” quality, but would like a clean comfortable stay.
Also have lots of Hilton points. Would like to hang onto my remaining Bonvoy points, but could use them.
I think you have family in that general area. Thought you might have thoughts on the subject.

We live in Miami and drove in the new Tesla to the Hyatt Sarasota for the weekend about one month ago. It was nice. They are constructing a new park across the street and the hotel is well located for amazing bike rides (our two bikes fit into the Tesla 3 oddly enough)/ long runs in the Ringling Museum residential district – or over the causeway to Longboat Key. The city is a beautiful. And, hotel was nice with balcony over the marina. The hotel faces the “Ritz Carlton” hotel and condos across the marina. Personally, I have never been a fan of the Marriott Ritz Carltons.
We did not eat in the hotel but restaurant and bar were open.
Florida seems to be business in the new normal. Masks were about 60% on and 40% off in most outdoor areas. All restaurants in the area seem to be open.
And, regarding Miami- jajaja. The beaches are PACKED! PACKED! Very few people wear masks outside. All businesses seem very open for business.
(As a big tennis player, there is a (non-points) hotel which is very European in standards at the IMG Sports Complex in Bradenton which is about 5 miles or so north of Hyatt Sarasota.)
Hope that helps.
