I made a 2 room reservation for my wife and her friends at the doubletree in Charleston under my name and my Hilton honors account. I added my wife and one of her friends as additional guests. I however will not be going on the trip. Will the be able to check in and if yes will they be able to take advantage of my Hilton Gold benefits.

in practice, yes. but technically that’s not allowed. other hotel chains have been cracking down on this practice.
