Lucky,

Your interesting traveling life has inspired my friend and I to take a fun trip around the country to celebrate our birthday (very last minute – the week of 9/9). Our thought was to try and connect cheap one-way flights from PDX to various cities so we could see some fun sites – have breakfast in one, lunch in another, and dinner in another. Sorry we are new and have no points to use. Any ideas or thoughts on how we could do this or the best airline to do it on? How do we find the cheapest flights and Hotels? Can we use the trips to collect points.

@Lilly — Welcome, and sounds fun!

If you don’t have any points already, your best option to to look on Google Flights for good fares. You can absolutely collect miles on this trip!
