I purchased round trip business class tickets to Europe on Condor using Chase points about a month ago. I had been thinking on it for a while and finally pulled the trigger. The trip is set for the end of summer. Because I used the Chase portal, I am unable to see or manage the booking on Condor’s website. I had to call Condor to get seat assignments and I was also told there was no way to check in online. I will have to check in at the airport which is somewhat inconvenient.

My initial thought is that Condor isn’t necesssarilly all that user friendly. This combined with the talk of Thomas Cook’s potential demise has me somewhat concerned. I have locked in several inter-Europe flights now which are not refundable. I am starting to book lodgings. Any suggestions on how best to protect myself in case Thomas Cook goes belly up and Condor bites the dust? Is putting things on the CSP card going to give me any protection? What happens if Cook winds up selling Condor? Does the purchaser have to honor my tickets? PS one of the main reasons I went through the Chase portal and booked Condor was for the Alaska miles, will that opportunity disappear with a sale?

I know too many questions. But your thoughts on the matter are greatly appreciated.
