I travel weekly. Use mostly MARRIOTT. Have had more than a few challenges lately, even considered going all in on Hilton. Dirty coffee makers, TVs that don’t work, small frustrations that are magnified when you are there less than 8 hours and just need them to get it right. Throwing points at you seem to be the going script.
But then gets worse. Used points to stay extra day on work trip to have some fun. Check into your balcony room in Hawaii a day early. Get there- this time they “upgraded” me. But really gave my balcony room away and called my ground level room that opened directly to pool an upgrade. Could never even open the blinds as there were people outside my glass door 24/7. So disingenuous and crappy. Now I can’t trust their “upgrades“ either .
