CMB airport (sri lanka) // transit area – how ?

CMB airport (sri lanka) // transit area – how ?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello,
I will arrive in Colombo in a few days and i’m planning to take some intraday flights with another airline around 60-90 min after my estimated flight arrival.
    Do you know :
1/ if the transit counter are before the immigration ? do i need to pass immigration at all ?
2/ if immigration is needed, do i need a transit visa ? i guess not …
3/ if i arrive again in CMB in the evening, before other flights, do i need a 2nd transit visa ? (well, that all depends… if the transit counter is before immigration.
I’m sure you guys did some mileage runs before ex-CMB …
    Thanks !

There is a transit desk before immigration. Just to go the end of the terminal and you’ll find it in the open area. For getting passes the agent had to step out of the secure area but they took care of it. I’m not sure what the regs are for a transit visa. It’ll depend on the passport you hold etc.
