Chase Sapphire Reserve Rental Coverage

Chase Sapphire Reserve Rental Coverage

Last week I rented a car from National. The reservation went through with the card on file (Citi Prestige). There was damage to the car while I rented it. When I returned the car, I saw that they had the wrong card on file and switched the card to the CSR. The invoice indicates the total bill to my CSR.

Does anyone have experience to know if Chase might deny the claim since the car was not reserved with the card, even though I paid for it in full with my CSR? I would think I’d be fine, but I wonder if they would look to see if there was an authorization before the actual charge and deny based on the fact that it wasn’t reserved with the card.
