Booking Air New Zealand Spaceseat via UA

Booking Air New Zealand Spaceseat via UA

    Hey all!

So I’m prepping for my annual birthday trip, and this year I’ve chosen Fiji. I have my flights, my dates, and my hotel chosen, but I’m coming across a slight issue. My birthday trips tend to double as mileage runs, and this one will get me past United Gold and will have me well on the way to United Platinum. This being said…the notion of flying across the Pacific from North America to Fiji via New Zealand (I’m a die-hard Star Alliance flyer) in coach is horrifying, but paying for business on Air New Zealand or Global First on United will bust my bank. Given that, I’m hoping to book the spaceseat, aka Premium Economy. Problem is that this fare class doesn’t show up on the United website, and I’ve not managed to pull any with Expert Mode enabled. No shortage of space on the Air New Zealand website, though. I want to book this via UA so I can claim the PQDs…is this something that a phone agent at UA will be able to book for me? Or do I have to book it through Air New Zealand and lose out on the PQDs?

Sorry for the extraneous details…any and all help is very much appreciated!

The best you can do is try and call and see what happens. Good luck!
