Air Conditioning Sensors

I like to sleep in a cool room. Apparently that is problematic for many hotels. I’ve seen the instructions for how to override this on InnCom thermostats but can’t find anything for other brands. This week, I had a LuxPro thermostat, a fan that would not stay on, and a room that would not get very cool.
    Any hot tips?
