Best Program to Credit Miles to For Business a Flight, ORD-Hyderabad, Iindia

I’m traveling ORD-DXB-HYD in C next month on emirates. I’d love to credit miles to United or American but alas, I can’t. What is the best strategy to maximize miles and flexibility for use out of Chicago?

ALASKA. You get 25% bonus miles as well. If you are travelling RT, you will end up with 22K Alaska miles.
Next best IMO is Korean Air. They have a nice first class product.
JAL is an option too, but hey Alaska beats em all.

Don’t do it on Emirates though! Meh program, with OMG surcharges!

Thanks, Phat! How did you calculate the miles? It’s round trip (17,500) so emirates would credit me 26,250 skywards miles and 26,250 tier miles (50% bonus for C, no elite bonus) which would put me at Silver status for 2016. Not sure if I value that perk. Would Alaska give the same EQM/EQS bonus or is it just 25% ? Any value in Virgin America or Jet Blue?

22K AS Miles are lot more valuable than 26K EK miles for me.
Depends on how much you value Emirates Silver? May be useful for some status matching. IDK! I am not much of an elite geek.

Alaska, for sure. Keep in mind you can often and easily buy Alaska miles at a terrific discount, which makes it easier to top off for an award! http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2015/08/27/bonus-alaska-miles-deal/

And no. No real value in Virgin America or Jet Blue in comparison.
