JFK Terminal Hopping
Hello,
I am flying through JFK next week with a significant layover and was wondering if I would be able to visit a lounge in a different terminal than the one I am flying into/out of. Landing in T8 and flying out of T7 a few hours later. If I wanted to try out the Air France lounge in T1 for example with my Priority Pass would I be able to do so without a boarding pass for T1 since there are no airside connections between terminals at JFK?
Thank you!
I’m not sure if you’ll get access to a different terminal than the one youre departing out of. I havent tried it myself at JFK nor have I heard anything about it. Im not sure theres an official policy so you can try and see how it goes.
However – how long is your connection at JFK? Assuming you’re granted access different terminals, it’s still quite a trek. Walking between terminals isnt possible – you can only use the Airtrain and with the exception of T4, the stations arent inside the terminals. You’d have to clear security a few times as well, which isnt always fast.
Lastly, unless you can access the Virgin Clubhouse or the Etihad Lounge, there isn’t a lounge at JFK that’s really worth a huge detour. If you’re flying a premium cabin out of T7 you may be able to access the BA lounge.
