Amusing Story
Hi All,
This is quite amusing, well at least according to me…
So, at about 9:40 GMT +9 myself and my family took off from NRT heading to KUL on MH71. All was going smoothly until I heard an announcement from the captain about 3:30 hours into the flight, ‘I have some unfortunate news’. At this point I thought it was going to be an April fools joke but that soon changed as he proceeded. “Due to a problem with the air conditioning we will have to return to Kansai Airport”. At first I still thought it was an April fools but after checking the air show I see that we had done a big loop and we’re going to KIX.
I don’t know why I find this quite funny, but the rest of my family are not amused and quite angry. I always think it will happen to others but not me!
I write this on the plane, at a gate. We have been told very little but we can not leave the plane. The bad news is I have a connection in 10 hours and it takes about 7 hours to get from KIX to KUL. Oh and they have now switched off the AC. It is hot!!!
I will post updates here, if anyone is interested!
Hope your day is going better than mine!

After 5 hours waiting in the plane, with 2 of those hours having no AC, I am finally out! KIX is just opening and all passengers found out the flight will not leave until 9:40pm GMT +9. Not a great start for a Monday. Now I will be phoning the insurance company to find out if there are any alternatives.
