Ticketing for SkyPass Award Flights on Delta

Ticketing for SkyPass Award Flights on Delta

I have never booked award flights on partner airlines before. I am booking an award flight on Delta using my SkyPass miles. Will the tickets be issued by Delta, or Korean? The bigger question is will I be able to use my KTN to get TSA PreCheck?

As long as there is saver level award space, you can use Korean SkyPass miles to book flights on Delta. The ticket will be issued by Korean Air, based on their award rates and rules. You will get both a Korean Air and Delta confirmation number. It could be the same number but most of the time, they’re different. You can use the Delta confirmation number to access the ticket on Delta’s website and add your KTN for TSA PreCheck. At the airport, you’ll be checking in with Delta, if they are the operating carrier on the first flight of the award.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for, and good detail.
