I’m trying to book a Skymiles award from LAX to WNZ and I have the following problem.
Since there’s no direct flights between the two cities, all the results I got on delta.com are flight operated by Delta/China Eastern to PVG then from PVG to WNZ on China Eastern/Shanghai Airlines(a subsidiary of China Eastern), and the saver business award is 70K miles plus tax (same as LAX-PVG)
Then I tried to search award offered by China Airlines since it does not impose fuel surcharges. I searched LAX-TPE and TPE-WNZ, rates at 70K and 30K respectively. Is it possible to book the route as LAX-TPE-WNZ(which is not shown on delta.com when I searched LAX-WNZ routes) by phone at the 70K rate? Thanks!
