Qatar awards rules

Hello guys,

I am going to visit Singapore in July 2016. I’m thinking of redeeming AA miles for Qatar trip from Europe. Well, I live in Warsaw and we get cramped a320s here. I am wondering if it is possible to create a trip like this: WAW-LHR (on BA), LHR-DOH, DOH-SIN/DOH-BKK-SIN (on CX)[to get 2 a380s]) for the 70,000 miles.
The second question is – has something happened to Qatar award system? I can not find a single space on any of the flights in July in first class on an A380 – only business. On the other hand, there are two spaces in first on A330s on almost every day.

@Mateusz Based on AA routing rules (handy primer: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2014/06/08/american-aadvantage-award-routing-rules/), you should be able to go from Europe to SIN via Doha if you are traveling on QR, no on CX. You might get some push back about it not being the most direct route, but I think it should be do-able.

With space, it comes and goes but you’re right there have been a lot of reports of lack of availability on partners. I think you just have to keep monitoring.

Oh, thanks! So they wouldn’t probably let me hit the London. I’m gonna go on a paid ticket there, then.
