Lufthansa F Availability trends

Lufthansa F Availability trends

    Hi Ben,

Is Lufthansa F availability within 15 days of departure still pretty good even during the summer? I have two trips planned in June and October and am hoping to fly LH F–would you roll the dice and book last minute/within 15 days (I have a little flexibility on timing) or is that too risky without a fallback plan?

Also, when it comes to booking, I’m planning on transferring MR or SPG points to Aeroplan–is the best strategy just to check availability, transfer miles, and hope the seat doesn’t disappear? Or is there a way to hold a reservation while the points transfer?

    Thanks!

    Jack

I would make sure to have a backup plan, as availability in general is tight in summer, and planes are fuller than ever!

There’s no way to hold through Aeroplan, unfortunately, but transfers from Amex are instant.
