I have 280,000 AAdvantage Miles. am I’m planning to travel to Paris(Bus Class) in 330 days (late May). I can book the flight
there right now, but can’t book the return flight for two weeks. Is it best to book the outgoing flight (which will probably be the harder) now and do the return later or do both in two weeks. thank you.

Hi Lucky,
We’re planning on flying business class to CDG from TPA in
late May 2017 and returning early June using miles.
Presently I have 280000 AAdvantage miles. The soonest you can redeem
miles for AA flights is 331 days before. I’m presently in the window
for my departure, but not the return trip. My question, is it better
to book my outgoing now and my return in two weeks or wait
and do both together? I’m flexible on my dates within 3 days
going and two days coming back.

Pros: You can lock in your flights now, and gives you a little more flexibility for changes down the road. Cons: If you need to cancel you’ll pay two redeposit fees. You’ll have to weigh how those factors shake out for you.
