Award booking with 2 accounts

Award booking with 2 accounts

A friend and I want to book an business class award to Asia this year in the Lufthansa M&M program and we both have just enough miles in our accounts to book one seat each. If we find a flight with two seats available, will it work that we both login on each account and book one seat each as separate booking? Or is there any weird impact on the inventory that more than 1 seats is pulled away? I heard stories that booking 1 seat made the other seat to disappear as well but do not know if that is true.
Should it be fine or should we always try to book both seats through one account?

@Samoa if you are concerned about that have you tried calling LH? They may be able to book both of you together and pull miles from each account.
