AA question
This may be a stupid so I apologize in advance. I am flying from BOS-JFK-HKG-DPS using AA miles mostly on CX. The flight from BOS-JFK is on AA. When searching on British Air’s website, all segments are available to book in business. The only issue is, the BOS-JFK flight is not showing available for redemption at Business or Economy. There are lots of seats left per expert flyer. Since all other segments are available, would they override this or would I have to find my own way to JFK? I would rather not change my starting point as BOS since the BOS-HKG might have availability closer to the date so I could change to that.
Thank you
Have you tried calling AA? That may help, especially since you cant book CX on AA’s website. It has been said that it’s harder for AA to open up space to complete an award though. Have you tried looking for space on BOS-LGA? It is a hassle co change airports, especially in New York but it may be worth considering. Otherwise, I’d also look at BOS-ORD/LAX since CX also flies from there. Also worth considering is BOS-DFW and connecting to AA’s own DFW-HKG flight which has a fantastic Business hard product.
Also don’t forget MHT, PVD, and BDL. A little bit of a drive from BOS but cheaper parking and you might find connections there.
