Basics of the new St. Regis Aruba
The St. Regis Aruba has opened as of January 22, 2025, making it the newest property in the St. Regis portfolio. The resort is located on Palm Beach, in Aruba’s high-rise hotel district.
The property has 252 keys, including 200 guest rooms and 52 suites. In terms of amenities, the resort features multiple pools, a full-service spa and fitness center, and a casino. Dining at the resort includes Akira Back (an all-day restaurant, serving modern Japanese cuisine with Korean accents), and Eskama (an international restaurant open for lunch). Entry level rooms at the St. Regis Aruba start at 516 square feet (46 square meters).

The St. Regis Aruba complements Marriott’s existing properties on the island. The Ritz-Carlton Aruba is located on the same stretch of beach. There are several other Marriott properties right near the St. Regis, though they’re not in the luxury sector.
Ultimately I’d recommend managing your expectations when it comes to the quality of this resort. You go to a property like this because you want an easy beach getaway that’s fairly luxurious, and not because you’re going to have an experience that’s comparable to what you’d get in Southeast Asia. In terms of design, I at least hope that this property is a bit more luxurious than the Ritz-Carlton Turks & Caicos.
St. Regis Aruba rates & points requirements
With the St. Regis Aruba now open, what are rates like? Not surprisingly, it’s an expensive property, given proximity to the United States.
Pricing varies greatly by season. The absolute lowest pricing is in hurricane season, when rates start at a bit over $800 per night. During peak winter season, rates are currently over $1,200 per night. This includes the $90 nightly resort fee, but doesn’t include government taxes and fees.
If you are going to book a cash stay, I’d highly recommend doing so through the Marriott STARS program. This will score you perks like complimentary breakfast, a $100 food & beverage credit, a room upgrade subject to availability, and more. For those looking to redeem Marriott Bonvoy points, I see rates starting at 82,000 Bonvoy points per night. In peak season, rates generally start at 125,000 points per night. Keep in mind that you can receive a fifth night free on award redemptions, which will stretch your points even further.
Bottom line
The St. Regis Aruba has now opened, making it the newest luxury Marriott resort to open in the Caribbean. I can’t say that these big-box luxury properties in the Caribbean interest me all that much, but I know they’re popular with those looking for an easy getaway. When it comes to Caribbean St. Regis properties, in the coming months we’ll also see the opening of the St. Regis Cap Cana.

Here in Aruba now and had a drink here tonight. Gorgeous grounds. View for sunset is not as nice as the Ritz, but well worth a visit. All the rooms do have ocean facing balconies as well.
I wonder where hotels in Aruba are finding staff. It's a small island and a hotel like a St. Regis is going to require a lot more staffing than some of the other hotels on the island.

Another thing: because of the winds and location of the island (lawyer here, not scientist, unfortunately, who can better explain), Aruba is pretty consistently at a nice 80°F with a slight breeze. Another thing: because of the winds and location of the island (lawyer here, not scientist, unfortunately, who can better explain), Aruba is pretty consistently at a nice 80°F with a slight breeze. During the summer months, while Americans are less likely to flock to the warmth, Aruba actually gets an influx of South American visitors! I suspect because of the exchange rate and lack of Americans, that’s why the prices are lower during that time of year.
This is correct. Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao are probably the best islands to plan a Caribbean vacation around since it's extremely unlikely that the ABC islands will be struck by a hurricane.
