Hilarious Frontier Flight Attendant Interview: Yes, Sadly It’s Fake

11

In the past few days, video has gone viral of a Frontier Airlines passenger being duct-taped to his seat after misbehaving horribly on a Philadelphia to Miami flight. In addition to assaulting the crew, he yelled at the top of his lungs, saying how his rich his family is, and cussing out other passengers.

We’ve seen a big increase in the number of assaults among airline passengers, so many people found it satisfying to see this jerk get what he deserved.

The viral video of a Frontier Airlines flight attendant

In the past couple of days a video has gone viral related to this Frontier Airlines incident. It’s alleged to be an interview with Alfredo Rivera, who claims to be the flight attendant on the flight. As the alleged flight attendant starts the video, he says:

“I’m a flight attendant, that means I attend the flight. Sometimes our job has us attending to crazy people. If you push us too far, you’re going to have to attend this *ss whooping.”

He then talk about how the passenger smelled like “a pack of Marlboro cigarettes, four shots of Everclear alcohol, and regret, so I know something’s about to go down.” The video is hilarious, and you can watch it for yourself here:

So, is this video real?

I figured the answer would have been pretty obvious, but I was amazed by how many messages I received from people who thought that this was real.

Sorry to break the bad news, but unfortunately this isn’t real. This is actually from comedy/parody YouTube account “The Real Spark,” and the person behind the video is simply impersonating the flight attendant (and does impersonations for all kinds of other viral news stories, like the one below).

So while this unfortunately isn’t real, it’s hilarious nonetheless, and well worth a watch.

While we’re speaking of fake videos, we’re 100% in agreement that this Emirates video was filmed with a green screen, right? Like, this seems extremely obvious to me, but I’m also amazed by the number of people who seem to think that this is real, so…

Bottom line

Last weekend a passenger got duct-taped and arrested following some horrible behavior on a Miami-bound Frontier Airlines flight. This was probably one of the most viral inflight disturbance situations we’ve seen in quite a while. Following that, video went viral of an alleged flight attendant interview, though unfortunately it’s fake. Nonetheless it’s hilarious, and worth a watch.

Sad part is that even though it's fake, lots of people have seen it and in their minds it's real. they may never know its fake and pass it along for years with "remember that guy on this flight who got duct tape and said he's rich...." thats how fake news start and perpetuate.

      There has been parody/satire forever.

      There have been idiots forever.

We’ve made it this far. We’ll survive.

The actual passenger being duct tape is real. The parody is the interview with the comedian posing as a flight attendant

If anything, one of the main lessons of 'fake news' and opposition to established science during the pandemic is that millions of people are extremely bad judges of what is true. It thus doesn't surprise me that people think that Emirates ad, or this Youtube video, is true.

He reminds me of that 'Ain't Nobody Got Time For That' woman.
