World Of Hyatt & Under Canvas Promo: Earn 20x Points Per Dollar Spent

World Of Hyatt & Under Canvas Promo: Earn 20x Points Per Dollar Spent

11

In 2024, World of Hyatt and Under Canvas launched a partnership, giving members the opportunity to earn and redeem points for some cool outdoor focused lodging options. World of Hyatt has just launched a promotion for Under Canvas stays, which might be a good incentive for some people to give the brand a try.

World Of Hyatt incentivizing Under Canvas stays

World of Hyatt is offering bonus points on Under Canvas stays, for those with a World of Hyatt co-branded credit card (either personal or business).

The promotion is marketed as offering a total of 20x points on Under Canvas spending, though that includes the 5x points that members usually earn, plus the 4x points for eligible spending on a Hyatt co-branded credit card. In other words, the promotion offers an incremental 11x points per dollar spent.

As you’d expect, there are some terms to be aware of:

  • Registration is required between April 1 and June 12, 2026
  • Stays must be booked through World of Hyatt channels, including the website or app
  • Stays must take place between June 1 and September 8, 2026
  • Members can earn up to 100,000 bonus points with this promotion (based on the 11x bonus points being earned)
  • This is valid for stays at all 14 Under Canvas locations, as well as ULUM Moab, The Fields of Michigan, and Bar N Ranch
  • Bonus points will post within three to four weeks of an eligible stay being completed

This is a pretty lucrative World of Hyatt promotion!

A World of Hyatt Globalist member paying with a co-branded Hyatt Card would earn 21.5x World of Hyatt points per dollar spent. I value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents each, so to me, this promotion offers an incremental 30%+ return on spending. That’s pretty great!

Beyond that, though, I’ve genuinely been wanting to check out the Under Canvas brand, as they have some very cool properties. This might just be the push I needed to finally give the brand a try. Or is there a reason we’re seeing such a good promotion in summer, when most of these properties don’t have air conditioning? Hmm…

Bottom line

Those with a co-branded World of Hyatt credit card who register can earn 11x bonus points per dollar spent at Under Canvas properties. That means when you factor in the points you’d usually earn plus the points from credit card spending, you’re earning a minimum of 20x points per dollar spent.

It’s not worth mattress running to take advantage of that, but it’s a pretty solid return on spending at some awesome-looking properties.

Have any World of Hyatt members given Under Canvas a try? Which properties are worth checking out?

Is this stackable with the 2k/night promo that runs through July 1?

We stayed at UC Glacier last year. It was a solid experience, but it’s not luxury camping by any means. The beds weren’t great, but we did have a nice time otherwise.

Regarding the timing of the promotion, a lot of the properties are only open seasonally during the summer months so it may also be tied to that.

We visited the Acadia location last year with kids and they really enjoyed it.

Ben, the fine print says that only stays booked after registering for the promotion will be eligible for the bonus points which seems unusual. Are you able to double check with Hyatt?

The Fields of Michigan is quite close to me.

Definitely looking into booking at least a night to try and it possibly a weekend there this June, almost worth a "tent" mattress run, since I this should stack with the already released 2,000 points per night at Under Canvas before June 30 promo that Hyatt released (plus the Fields of Michigan ect.) promo last month. Wondering if the $100 per person pre-fix meal this place offers can be billed to the room and also earn me over 21x per points (assuming the globalist bonus).

I haven't stayed at an Under Canvas property yet, but have gone glamping near Zion. Canvas tent, king size bed, full ensoite with a soaking tub, flushing toilet, sink, and shower and hot water. It was great! Very peaceful and an easy drive into town.

No tv, no Wi-fi, no air. All near Glacier park. I would hope it comes with a firearm because this is an area I've seen grizzly bears and wolves on the move in late August. A canvas tent will not offer any deterent. Yikes

And I'd hope it comes with guests who know how to use actually said firearms defensively if needed. The reality is more likely they'd end up shooting themselves by accident. Whoopsie!

It's illegal to shoot the wolves. The big bears you won't be able to stop. But firing in the air ( even blanks ) can make them move on. When the wildlife starts smelling tasty food it's a challenge as they want to put weight on.

Food is not allowed in the tents.

They have a restaurant and grill candy smores each night. Outside. It's people and their silly thinking that allows wildlife to interact animals
