Hi Ben

I recently traveled through IST with someone who needed a wheelchair at the airport, and found IST to be the airport with the WORST wheelchair service. It might even be the WORST in the world—whether you’re arriving, departing, or just connecting (we spent four days in Istanbul on our return leg). Have you heard other travelers complain about this? Or are you perhaps interested in finding a way to review IST’s wheelchair service?

Thank you for your wonderful articles.

@tuotuo That's really unfortunate to hear, especially given what a major hub it is, and how many passengers it handles who likely need wheelchair service. Could you explain a bit more about what made it so bad? Or any interest in writing a Community Stories post about this, because maybe some visibility will cause the airport to review its policies?

@isaacc He has already. (Wait, were you being sarcastic?) Also, he goes by ‘Steeeve’ (3 e’s) on YouTube (something about a barista in Milan pronouncing his name that way. Bah!)

Random question perhaps related to Hyatt/American relationship. When I reached 20 nights with Hyatt, I was offered a $ 25 coupon, "better seats" on AA, 2000 points (maybe worth $28) or 2 lounge coupons (can be used on a stay up to 7 days). Unless you are globalist who gets lounge access, why not always choose the lounge? Just coffee and soda/water for two for an entire day is worth more than $28. Am I missing something?

@calidude The club access awards are the best deal for sure, assuming you actually stay at Hyatts that have lounges with any frequency, and also assuming you aren't a Globalist member. Keep in mind lots of Hyatt properties don't have lounges, and Globalist members get lounge access anyway (though the additional club access awards can be gifted to others). So you're on the right track with your thinking. 🙂

Asking for a frenemy: Flyin' to Dallas today... emergency slide might have accidentally deployed... that's a quick fix, right?

Hey Ben,

Not really that related to today's posts but will you be writing an article about the best lounges you found with access from Skyteam Elite Plus, Star Alliance Gold, and Oneworld Sapphire? Also, throw in best priority lounges while you're at it! I know you wrote one about Oneworld emerald already but I really enjoy reading your takes on the best lounges.

Hi Ben, you may be aware of it, but T'way Air, a Korean LCC, has officially rebranded as Trinity Airways today, and they also revealed their new cabin product in A330-900neo.

You can see the photos from their website : https://www.trinityairways.com/app/serviceinfo/beTrinityInfo

Business class seat renderings :

It looks very similar to Collins AirLounge on Finnair, but it's actually not. Trinity Airways is the launch customer of Optimares SoFab, and this will be the most basic lie-flat business class seat in the market—no recline, no IFE screen.

About Optimares SoFab : https://www.optimares.com/sofab/
