@ stvr .... I’m not brand loyal to them, but they did take over the Grovepark Inn in Asheville, NC so would consider this promo as doesn’t appear to be time limit restrictions and we love the property. I would not however buy any speculatively for any other sites.
There used to be many more of these mid-sized hotel chains before consolidation wrapped many of them into the mega-groups. Omni and Loews come to mind as still being around. Many still exist in the luxury space (ie. Auberge). Delta and Fairmont (formerly Canadian Pacific) were dominant independent chains in their home Canadian market prior to being swallowed up by Marriott and Accor, respectively.
