Hyatt Diamond status will get you this benefit as well. I have used it extensively. On my last trip to NYC (over a holiday weekend no less), I was quietly pulled to the side and given my room (a complimentary upgrade to an "Entertainment Suite - 1 bedroom Suite attached to a 900 sq ft party room) after 3 Platinum members in front of me in line were told their rooms would be ready by 11. I was also staying on points, not paying for my room.
I don't know how things will change once their credit card starts flooding the market with Diamond members, but Hyatt always treats me like a king in their properties. It helps that I have averaged 120-150 nights per year with them for the past 5 years...
@Chris B -- the Hyatt credit card does nothing to help members towards Diamond status. And while early checkin may be offered to Diamond members on occasion, Intercontinental Royal Ambassador offers this as a PUBLISHED BENEFIT explicitly at 8am. That's HUGELY valuable for early a.m. arrivals in Europe especially, but I'll also do early arrivals in Asia.. a wonderful wonderful thing indeed.
@Gary: My question stands. I'm curious, is this just a paid thing or can you get it free as well?
