I think the best thing about wow and Norwegian is that they allow you to fly cheaply to the US on a one way ticket, which means you can redeem miles in the other direction without having to save as many.
WOW actually started flights to Baltimore last May. I was on the first BWI-KEF flight. It was a pretty uncomfortable flying experience (describing it as "no frills" may be a bit too generous), but it's hard to beat ~$350 r/t to Europe. And the sunrise we saw on approach to KEF was unbelievably beautiful. I've never seen anything else like it.
