Having been to Zimbabwe in 2007, much like Cuba, the only way that country will move ahead again is #1 Mugabe is dead, #2 ZANU-PF is defeated. It almost occurred, and probably did, in 2008. I really can't say much about the plane, I mean really is there anything practically functioning in that country? It's just a sad situation. The country no longer has any sovereign currency, legal tender is USD or SAR. I have a 1,000,000 ZWD bank note that was worth about $18 when it circulated. No way I would get on an ZAR plane.

Lucky, you talk about 140M "miraculously" disappearing. There's no miracle making money disappear, any politician anywhere in the world can do it. The miracle would have been if the country invested 140M in basic education. That would be the real miracle.
140 million ??? Pfft. You want a real miracle? Make 700 Billion disappear into the military of a country which has two borders - one with Canada and one with Mexico. Canadians and Mexicans must be really hostile and warlike.
Third World countries have nothing on First world countries when it comes to making money disappear . And if your 401k owns Boeing and Lockheed stock ,you are part of the problem.
@david .. Bit Harsh ! , back in 1980 Botswana was a basket case and Zimbabwe was the food bowl of Africa.
Nowadays the two leading 'developing' African nations are the aforementioned Botswana and Rwanda , i'd also rate Zambia highly as it's a really cool place.
It's all about getting out of that comfort zone and visiting these places , rather than leaving spineless keyboard warrior style troll comment
