This is very surprising since you previously used to rate TG's First Class as one of the best in the world.
This feels like a slightly less crowded Polaris Lounge. Perhaps they are still in recovery from COVID-19.

With only a tiny handful of flights offering first, I can understand why they don't bother providing a lounge with all the bells and whistles just so *A pax can hang-out. Given that situation it's actually better than I expected.
It seems similar to the business class lounge just presented differently and perhaps a section of the business class lounge
Flew TG First from BKK to Tokyo around a year ago. While I agree it is not the most up-to-date first class lounge in the world, the service more than made up for it when we were there. We were provided the private room (not sure why, but didn’t argue), great food, and constant attention. Then we were escorted by two folks carrying our bags all the way from the lounge to our seats on the plane, where we experience service beyond compare. I still can’t say enough good things about this airline (and country)!
I think TG will eventually re-open the Royal Orchid Spa. They still have that space allocated. (Opposite of Coral Lounge) They ran an improv tea room at the space that used to be Royal Orchid Spa for a short while in February. (Link to the news: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/m5xWFWYPcGk58CZP/ )
The feedback among frequent TG flyers was unanimous, "WE DO NOT WANT A LOUSY TEA ROOM, PLEASE BRING BACK THE SPA!"
The rumor is that the new spa will be exclusively for First Class passenger rather than Business + First as per former arrangement.
Late last year, TG has given a design award for the space that Royal Orchid Spa used to occupy. The new design seems like a new spa facility. (Link to the news: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=889271185899969&id=100044512862995&set=a.805243724302716 )
Given that TG is still in debt repayment phase and the quagmire that is the Thai Government, it could still take some time for this facility to come to fruition.
I use the FC lounge about once a month, mostly when travellling alone so I guess about 50 times in total. I have never experienced service as in original post and have always experienced staff who are attentive, friendly, etc without being OTT and different staff asking the same at frequent intervals (Doha FC lounge is a more than good example of this). Perhaps the OP has different needs and expectations.
