I got to the terminal at around 5:30AM, leaving plenty of time before my 10AM flight to Bangkok. If you think that terminal is past its prime, you should check out Liberia, Costa Rica and Belize City sometime.

@Lucky,

I hope you get to see the Oman Air lounge around midnight, upon your return.
The two times I have visited the lounge around that time, there has been a chef handling a hot-line & BBQ in the dining area, I was there on two occasions in 2012, and it looks quite well kept in order.
Happy flying

There should be a direct Bus Transfer from the Lounge to the Plane.

That sure beats the lounge we had to use for our Qatar flight!

@farnorthtrader: don't know when you last passed thru LIR but a entirely new terminal opened 3 or 4 years ago that is actually fairly pleasant. Already too small and still too few dining options, but it is no longer past its prime!

Qatar now uses this lounge. However, posting from the lounge right now and Champagne has disappeared. According to the staff, that is a permanent enhancement.
