While flying with Fiji Airways I had a roughly 2.5 hour layover at Nadi Airport (NAN), after arriving from Los Angeles (LAX) and prior to connecting to Auckland (AKL). I spent most of this time at the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge, which is Fiji Airways’ only lounge.

If you’re lucky, they’ll have their local Blue Turtle gin available in the lounge. AFAIK, it is the only Fijian gin, and it is only available for purchase in Fiji.

It’s delicious, and has a pretty unique flavor. If you like gins (or even if you normally don’t, as this one likely doesn’t taste like any gin you’ve had before), make sure to check for it at the bar. If you like it, it’s available upstairs for purchase. After confirming that they can’t ship to the US, I bought 3 bottles last time I went through.

Agreed this is a truly great lounge. The "hard product" is great, and in my experience the service is genuinely friendly and enthusiastic...consistent with what I've come to expect from the Fijian people.

Great review. Makes me want to head back to NAN...

Yes, they proactively offered that one when I asked for G&T. They have barista coffee in the morning and bartender cocktails in the evening.

Here is the food menu for the lounge: https://www.fijiairways.com/en-us/experience/fiji-airways-premier-lounge/breakfast

Pre-covid they also had a spa with free and paid treatments. You could email them ahead of time to reserve your spot. I hope they bring it back!

Fiji is my favorite way to get to Australia from the US. 10hr flight, massage/shower/meal in this lounge, continue on.

When I tried to visit on my last trip through Fiji, I said I was Emerald but then they asked through which program. I said Alaska and they said no access. They said if it was BA, American, or one other than I would have been eligible. I still dont understand this. I get that they are One World Connect and Emerald status alone does not work. But why would the status be dependant on which airline you earned it on? It's still Emerald.

I could not agree more, hospitality plus. We had an evening flight when they were serving barbecued chicken with spicy sambal, garlic fried rice and grilled vegetables absolutely sensational.

Hi Lucky, they do serve Fiji water. You just have to ask the bar to give you one.
And if you are there at night before their LA/SFO departures it is super crowded. Almost no room to sit.
Still the food was great so was the coffee.

For anyone that has been in this lounge, am I reading the review correctly that there is just the one shower? If so, does anyone have experience in reserving it? Is it booked solid during the day?

Was denied access in transit nrt-nan-tbu, arrived in business, departing in coach, single aa-miles issued thru ticket. Was told access only for those departing in business not arriving. Irritated.

I flew Economy Class on FIJI to NZ, I found the airport cramped, crowded, one real fast food offering with a long line to Burger King. Lots of DUTY FREE on the main floor, which was way overstaffed with bored workers trying to look busy. Yes the departure gates are few, and all close to each other. The humidity was extreme when I arrived in February 2024. The wait was 2 1/2 hours to NZ, 3 hrs returning home to the USA. I made sure I had lots to watch on my tablet to kill time. Also, you cannot really leave the airport to walk around to kill time, not much going on outside.I will always try to avoid this again.

This is a very helpful review. I will arrive at 5 AM from LAX and have six hours before my flight to AUK! I was worried that the lounge would not be large enough and not open that early. You stated that the lounge was all enclosed with no windows or natural light. I assume it’s air conditioned, then?
