Not bad if you find a sweet deal via Aeroplan or need to top-off towards a redemption. However, it’s not like F on LH is readily available these days, so… less rubber duckies for us all…
could be a good deal.. just transferred 55k from chase to 66k Aeroplan plus still have 5k certificate to use by end of August so I will be flying on Swiss out of Miami for only 55k chase points plus $130.. Pretty schweet deal
@ KLAUS, I am based in MIA and LX to ZRH, or LH to FRA has been my go to transatlantic for the last 20 years. Almost impossible these days to find premium availability, even just 2 or 3 days out. If you know a trick do let us know…:). But yes, I’ll definitely be taking advantage of the promotion!
Aeroplan is pretty useless if you’re based on the west coast.
Unless you want to fly to Europe and double connect in Toronto and Montreal and pay 200K points in economy.
Or if you want to pay for a business redemption CDG-FRA-SFO and only CDG-FRA is in business but they charge you 400K points.

Aeroplan has the worst website and rarely offers any Business seats.
Right after selling 25% of the program to private equity? I'm guessing that the devaluation will be far more than the bonus.
