The Paris Air Show is going on at the moment, which is an event where airlines often place aircraft orders. It's safe to say that Airbus has had the edge this time around -- Airbus launched the A321XLR at the event, while Boeing has basically just been apologizing for their 737 MAX situation. So there's…

I guess the suite would be too big to put on this place, even if they tried a 1-1-1 set-up?

787 9 seats conf in economy is just horrible. Most frequent travellers are avoiding 787 like a plague.

I love their widebody fleet. It's wild. All they need to add is the A350 and you have nearly every option.

What's weird to me is that they're going to replace the A330s with 787s. They use a lot of those A330s on domestic and regional flights. They manage to pack A330-300s full on domestic flights to and from Jeju Island. The 787 seems like a lot of unnecessary range and capability for such short flights. Even Delta thinks the 787 is overkill for their transatlantic network and opted for the A330neo.

I wonder how much Korean Air's maintenance operation factors into this. They've always been big Boeing + GE shop.

Since I fly economy, I always try my best to avoid booking any international flight on the 787. Except Japan Airlines, all other airlines have 9-seat abreast in economy resulting in 17 inch seats and very narrow aisles. 10 hour plus flying in 17 inch seats is like torture. I rather stay home.
