Icelandair Launching Tel Aviv Flights In 2023

Its a nice addition. This will be especially great for Toronto to bring fares down, as there is a large demand for Tel Aviv service and El AL recently pulled out.

Presumably, Iceland added Tel Aviv service before Athens because of a much larger amount of local traffic from Tel Aviv.

All I care about is how much legroom it will have in economy. I believe their flights to N.Am. normally have significantly more legroom than to Europe.

I think it is best to point out that Business Class or Saga Class on Icelandair is NOT equal to Biz on most transatlantic airlines. It is more like domestic First in USA - recliners rather than beds.

Would a 7 hour flight on a single aisle 737 MAX be comfortable??

What exactly do you believe is the difference between 3 seats with a single aisle that's blocked by cart, vs 3 seats in a double aisle that are both blocked by carts?

This is intriguing news. It provides opportunities for an attractive stopover in Iceland and we should see marketing around that. I can see that this would be a lucrative venture. Expect a seat sellout. I’ll look to book!

Just want to add that I find the news if Icelandair flying direct, in 2023, to Israel a most welcome development.
Only to add that few years back I have flown on the first direct flight from Israel to Iceland and at that time it was five and a half hours flight which was really great !!!

The same planes are being used throughout the whole international network (except to Greenland), so you will always get the same amount of legroom.
