You know, I’ve gotta say, this might just be the strangest expansion we’ve ever seen from a real airline (not to be confused with fake airlines). I’m not sure if they’re just grasping at straws because other markets aren’t working, or what.

Ben, I get it. You're at a different, more settled stage in life with a husband and kids, which all makes life on the road a lot harder, but that's all the more reason to hire others to experience and report on actual travel.
It's interesting to me that they are launching service from Orlando's Sanford Airport (SFB) to Belize when they already serve MCO for their Bermuda flight. It just doesn't make sense to me. Unless the airline is planning on moving all of their operations in the area to SFB.

BA has the St Helena service sewn up with their daily A380 flights which stop to pay their respects at Napoleon’s death camp.
As for South Georgia, we put that runway out of action in ‘82 so the Argies couldn’t remove all the scrap iron from the old whaling station.
I agree. The problem with hiring new talent is that they won't stick for long. They will stay here until they find their voice and start resonating with readers and then move to their personal outlet. So we're stuck with good old Ben, growing old together.

This actually makes some sense, tourism in Bermuda is really seasonal. It gets lumped in with the Caribbean, but there's a big difference in climate over the winter.
I live in St. Pete and did 4 double takes when I saw this. St. Pete/Clearwater Airport is cute and nice for Alligiant and Sunwings. Tampa International is about 11 miles away.
I hope it works, not only for the shareholders of Bermudair but for the St Pete/Pinellas County business community and travelers in the greater Tampa Bay Area.

Glad to see Sanford's international terminal getting some more business. They built a new international facility 10-15 years ago for the numerous British charter carriers (AitTours, JMC, Monarch, etc) that flew there. They all went bankrupt with the final one (TUI) switching flights over to Melbourne Orlando.
Are they gaining an operating certificate for Turks and Caicos also?
Belize flights will be 5th freedom with the U.S. being the intermediate stop after originating at a place they have AOC, Anguilla and Bermuda for now.

Super ambitious. Reminds me of Airlink in southern Africa, in that they’re operating all regional jets, no middle seats, 2-3 hours flight times. I’m a fan. Hope they pull this off.
I'm curious about the economics of all of this. The flights that are not from their hub would require some setting up bases (at least minimal ones) at all these airports where they have no current presence. Seems a lot of overhead for a small fleet of regional jets.
