Oneworld & Taj InnerCircle NeuPass Launch Cool Loyalty Partnership
The oneworld alliance has just announced a first-of-its-kind loyalty partnership with a hotel brand, which is pretty cool. While the brand is pretty niche (at least on a global basis), it’s cool to see the concept behind this.

Might be worth a trip to India to see, in person, how you're OWE gets you at a Taj Hotel?
You could make it part of a trip to test the new Air India seats too!
Taj Cape Town is my favorite in the city. Quite a bit cheaper than the other 5-star properties yet wonderful and in my opinion in a much better location than most luxury properties in the city if you actually want to be able to walk and see things.
Doesn't this company, Taj, primarily operate in India? If so, hard pass. Been there once, hated it, won't return. I value my lungs.
They have The Pierre in NYC. Classic Central Park old-school higher-end hotel, but not the best or most expensive in the city. Meh.
My wife and I enjoyed two Taj Safari properties about ten years ago. Mahua Kothi and Banjaar Tola. We were on a Tauck tour so did not book direct.
Both were awesome, but Banjaar Tola gets the edge with the luxury tents (versus cabins) and the abundant wildlife visible across the Banjaar River. Plus, that's where we had the more successful drives and Bengal Tiger sitings.
We also visited the Taj properties in Delhi and Mumbai but stayed in Oberoi properties in both cities (plus in Agra).
India isn't for everybody, but we loved and hope to get back soon.
Given that both Taj and Air India are owned by Tata group, I’d have expected a partnership with *A, which would have been mutually beneficial.
Have a million questions . Taj safari properties include game drives like the properties in Masai Mara? Thanks
@ 1990 -- I said I value my lungs! God only know what filfth is in the air in NYC, expecially near Central Park. 😉
Taj properties in India and Asian are significantly better than western brands. Taj also have a property in San Francisco and a recently opened one in Frankfurt.
Neupass Gold and Platinum get Oneworld Sapphire, so I'd argue this benefits Taj members more cause Oneworld Sapphire can be earned through 4.2k usd of hotel spend.
The Taj Lake Palace and Rambagh Palace are two of my top five favorites, globally. The opulence, heritage and attention are addictive. I have to travel frequently to Boston and stay at the Newbury, where I enjoy the Park View Suite frequently.
Other properties which my partner and I love to frequent (we go to India every year) are the Oberoi Udaivilas and the Vanyavilas in Ranthambore. Not in India, the Oberoi Marrakech is beautiful and expansive (although we have visited only once).
Usually we will end our journey with a stay at one of these iconic hotels before our return.
I’m loyal to a few hotel brands for their consistently high quality and service, even though their loyalty programs aren’t particularly strong. Four Seasons and Taj are at the top of that list. While Taj has a smaller global footprint compared to Four Seasons, both deliver a top-tier experience. Glad to see this development given my OWE status!
@ Steve -- The exact mechanism hasn't been announced yet... hopefully soon!
Taj's management of The Pierre is an embarrassment. A lot of deferred maintenance. And, there's currently a legal dispute among the owners regarding a potential sale to the Dorchester Collection.

That’s unfortunate, Fred. I’ll be honest, I’ve never stayed at The Pierre, though I’ve walked by many times. Hope they or Dorchester will turn things around.
The hotel looks nice, but I wonder how much human feces is in that water.
I used stay frequently at the Taj 51, in London. The rooms in the Minster section are (or used to be) quite nice, spacious, with excellent amenities and having a Michelin star (Indian) restaurant kitchen do room service is a nice perk. The other rooms are in serious need of modernizing
Unfortunately, they've gone down hill dramatically. Service post Covid is wildly inconsistent, and the increasing parade of needy obnoxious and loud 'families' there, are viscerally unpleasant.
It's a shame. Was a real gem. The last time we stayed it was a huge overpay even by London’s outrageous rates.
Their sister hotel, St James Court, is unfortunately plagued by even worse 'families'. Avoid
The Lake Palace is a real unicorn - the guests are mostly non local tourists, and despite some service mishaps, the magic of the place shines through. Hightly recommend for a few nights.
Oberoi, is a much more polished chain and with a much higher service level floor compared to the Taj.
This is good, but we can’t figure out how to link the accounts. Even the hotel customer service knows nothing about this partnership.
Can anyone provide a link to connect the accounts?
Thanks
Trump has made me more money in the last 6 months thanks Ba Ba Biden did in 4 years!!!!
Trump has nothing to do with it. The AI boom is actually masking an otherwise stale economy due to Dump.
The details for linking accounts are yet to be announced in the coming days.
We had drives, in vehicles owned by the resort and led by one resort employee and a park employee who joined at the gate. I don't know if this was automatically included in a resort stay or if the Tauck tour company added it in. I couldn't imagine being there without the game drives.
I've not been on an African Safari, but from the other guests I'm to believe that Tiger Drives are very different. We typically had a morning and afternoon drive each day and spent a lot of time driving around trying to find a Tiger (which is not promised). There are no electronic communications within the parks, so individual vehicles (or small groups) are left to "hunt" for a tiger using forest sounds, fresh footprints and other tracking tools. Some visitors were frustrated and bored by this, but we really enjoyed it.
Taj Buckingham gate is one of the best places to stay in London if you have a big family that like there individual bedrooms . Most hotels have an issue to offer multi bedroom suites or charge outrages rates for them ( Think Presidential ) . But at Taj in London you can get a 3 bedroom suite with kitchen for ....a "suite" deal ( even if you forget to book with Ford ). It is also walking distance to Victoria station ( If you like to travel in style by train ) Westminster and the Royal palace.

Stayed there many times and for a while it was the place to stay (with a family). But their service levels have plummeted and it's a real shame. Quillon is still worth bite though they are aggressively not family friendly
