The Garuda flight crews across the board are very good and do a great job of serving their passengers, which is why I like flying Garuda. It is such a shame that their management is not as good as their flight crews.
Being part of BUMN (state run enterprises), the CEO selection process is tied to political process that is riddled with corruption from the start. To be even considered, a candidate has to pay bribes to all the relevant parties to get him/her escalated thru.

Garuda Indonesia personally stole $ 1,700 from me, and I advise everyone to never buy tickets from this company unless you want to lose money. In 2020, they canceled flights several times, and then refused to refund the money. Garuda Indonesia has been blacklisted by many travel companies since last year.
